Multispectral Solutions, Inc. (MSSI) specializes in the research, design, development and manufacture of ultra wideband (UWB) communications, precision positioning and radar systems. These systems incorporate an unique mixture of broadband RF and microwave, high speed programmable digital logic and digital signal processing technologies. In support of these efforts, the company maintains an advanced electronics laboratory containing a wide range of stimulus and test equipment to cover RF frequencies to 40 GHz and digital designs to beyond 1 GS/s. Senior RF Design Engineer

Job description:
Responsible for development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solutions that meet diverse customer needs. These RFID systems incorporate state-of-the-art wireless technologies including RFID tags, antennas, and readers, and applications that process the data. As a key member of the engineering design team, the successful candidate will create and maintain UWB product designs developed for our real-time location technology.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in RF/Analog Design BS degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in discrete circuit design and analysis.
• Effective management of time and ability to accurately estimate time required for development and debugging tasks.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of RF systems.
• Familiarity with HW Product Life Cycle, QA, and User Training.
• Dependable, reliable and self-motivated.
• Able to work alone, in a team environment, and interact effectively with other groups and departments, clients, partners, and contractors.
• Willing to travel.

Senior Digital Design Engineer

Job description:
As a key member of the engineering design team, the successful candidate will design and maintain UWB products developed for our real-time location technology.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in digital design of boards and systems.
• Proven commercial product development track record from concept through design, simulation, analysis, test and release. Previous DFM experience desired.
• Experience with FPGA designs using VHDL design methodology is essential. 
• Design experience with micro controllers and associated firmware preferred. C programming a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in board level designs including component selection, interface design, power supply design and high speed digital design.
• Strong background in understanding digital communication concepts and coding techniques required.  Detailed understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol desired.
• Experience in using schematic capture and simulation tools required. 
• Analog design and debug experience a plus.
